Non-Veg: Egg Dalia
Why Egg Dalia?
In my experience, most kids love this dish. It is not just the taste of the eggs, but also how it looks, when the dish is served. The name is also fascinating for the kids.
Ingredients and Quantity or Amount
1. Eggs (6 pieces)
2. Tomato Sauce (6 table spoons)
3. Onion (1 medium sized)
4. Ginger Paste (1 table spoon)
5. Turmeric Powder (1/2 table spoon)
6. Cooking Oil (4 table spoons)
7. Salt (to taste)
8. Sugar (1/2 table spoon)
9. Whole Garam Masala made of 1 cinnamon stick, 2 cloves and 2 whole cardamoms
10. Kasauri Methi (1 table spoon)
11. Cilantro (1 bunch)
Method
Heat the pan on stove until warm. Then add oil. When oil is crackling, add garam masala mix. Make a paste of the onion and mix it with ginger paste. Add the mix to the pan along with salt, sugar, turmeric powder. Then add tomato sauce, kasauri methi and 1 cup of water.
When the gravy is thickened, crack one egg and pour it in the gravy. Repeat the same process with 5 other eggs one at a time. Keep simmering until the yolk of the eggs are semi-hard.
Garnish with chopped up cilantro.
