Non-Veg: Tel Koi (Fish)

Why Tel Koi (Fish)?


My mother used to cook the best tel koi ever.  My elder sister (bordi) used to make this really as well. So I wanted to try it and after a few tries I mastered it too, which I made for my family and now I want to share the recipe with you. Try it, it is delicious. My mom and bordi's pictures below.

Ingredients and Amount or Quantity
1. Koi Mach (fish) (3 pieces)
2. Tomato Sauce (4 table spoons)
3. Onion paste (6 table spoons)
4. Ginger paste (2 table spoons)
5. Garlic  paste (1 table spoon)
6. Turmeric powder (1/2 table spoon)
7. Red Chilli Powder (1/2 table spoon)
8. Cumin powder (1/2 table spoon)
9. Salt (to taste)
10. Cilantro (1/2 bunch)
11. Green Chilli (2 pieces)
12. Cooking Oil (1 cup)


Method
Wash fish and marinade with salt and turmeric. Heat pan and add oil. When oil is hot add fishes and fry both sides for about 5 minutes each side. Set the fish aside. Add more oil and add all ingredients into the pan except cilantro. Add 1/2 cup water to the thickened mixture. Add the fish pieces and boil until the water evaporates. Cut cilantro into small pieces and add to the fish in pan.













Serve with white rice.
