Non-Veg: Banana Blossom (Mocha) with Shrimp
Why Banana Blossom (Mocha) ?
My mother-in-law used to make this dish. I really enjoyed it and took the recipe from her and added a few ingredients of my own and enhanced it.


Ingredients and Amount or Quantity
1. Banana Blossom (1 medium)
2. Turmeric (1/2 table spoon)
3. Red Chilli powder (1/2 tbs)
4. Cumin powder (1 tbs)
5. Ginger paste (2tbs)
6. Bay leaves (2)
Method
Take the stiff part out of each individual part of banana blossm, then cut into small pieces and boil for 10 minutes in plain water. After 10 minutes strain water. Leave blossom in a colander.
Put pan on stove add oil then add whole cumin, bay leaves. Cut potatoes into small pieces and fry. When potatoes are golden color then add shrimp. When shrimp changes to pink color add banana blossom. Now add salt, sugar, chilli paper, turmeric, cumin powder and ginger paste.
Lower the heat and stir constantly. Then cover until potatoes are well cooked.
Add garam masala and ghee, and mix well.

8. Salt (to taste)
9. Sugar (1 tbs)
10. Ghee (2 tbs)
11. Garam mashala (1/2 tbs)
12. Whole cumin seed (1/2 tbs)
13. Potato (2 medium)
14. Small shrimp (1/2 pound)
Method
