Non-Veg: Prawn Cutlet

This is my husband's recipe. He made the best cutlets and he inspired me to cook them the same way he did. 

Ingredients and Quantity (or Amount)

1. Prawn (8 pieces)

2. Garlic, ginger, onion juice (4 tablespoon)

3. Mint paste (1 teaspoon)

4. Green chili paste (1 ½ teaspoons)

5. Egg (2 pieces)

6. Bread crumb (1 cup)

7. Oil (1 cup)

8. Salt (to taste)

Method

Cut the heads of the prawn off. Keep the tails. Slit the prawns lengthwise and flatten them with a mallet. 

Soak the prawns with onion, ginger and garlic juices, mint paste, chili paste and salt for 1 ½ hours. 

Crack the eggs and beat them in a bowl. Dip the flattened prawns in the beaten eggs and then cover with bread crumb which you can pour onto a large flat plate ahead of time. 

Heat a pan and add oil. Fry the prawns coated with egg and bread crumb until they are golden brown. 

Serve hot with salad.
