Veg: Moosur Daal
Why Moosur Daal?
Daal is a daily staple in any family in Kolkata. This daal is high in protein, easy to digest and very tasty. I loved it myself and started making it twice or thrice a week for my family. Everyone loved it except my elder son, who recently have acquired a taste for it.
Ingredients and Amount or Quantity
1. Moosur Daal (200 grams)
2. Chopped Onions (1 whole)
3. Radhuni (1 table spoon)
4. Green Chilli Peppers (2 pieces)
5. Tomatoes (1 medium sized)
6. Dry Whole Red Chilli Peppers (2 pieces)
7. Turmeric Powder (1/2 spoon)
8. Cilantro (1 bunch)
9. Cooking Oil (2 table spoons)
Method
Boil the daal with sufficient water. When daal is completely boiled, then put warm up a pan on the stove. Add oil, radhuni, dry while red peppers, chopped onions, green chilli, crushed tomato. Add salt to taste and turmeric powder.
Pour in a deep bowl and add cilantro.
Ready to serve.
