Veg: Mango Aachar
Ingredients and Quantity (or Amount)
1. Green mango (500 grams)
2. Mustard oil (250 grams)
3. Mustard powder (50 grams)
4. Turmeric (1 tablespoon)
5. Five seeds spice or panch phoron (2 tablespoons)
6. Hing (1/2 tablespoon)
7. Dry chili (5 pieces)
Method:
Wash and
dry the mango. Cut the mango into small pieces and take out the seeds.
Start
heating up a pan and add oil, panch phoron, salt, turmeric, dry chili and hing.
Add the mango pieces. Stir for 10 minutes or as needed to bring to the desired
softness of the mango.
Once
cool put the mixture in dry air-tight jars.
