Veg: Doi Gobi

 Ingredients and Quantity (or Amount)

1.    Cauliflower (1 whole)

2.    Onion (1 medium sized)

3.    Garlic paste (1 tablespoon)

4.    Ginger paste (1 tablespoon)

5.    Plain yogurt (200 grams)

6.    Green chili (2 pieces)

7.    Bay leaves (2 pieces)

8.    Turmeric (1 tablespoon)

9.    Sugar (1 tablespoon)

10. Salt (1 tablespoon)

11. Garam Masala (1/2 tablespoon)

12. Peas (200 grams)

13. Oil (4 tablespoons)

14. Ghee (2 tablespoons)

Method:

Cut cauliflower into pieces and wash. Thoroughly mix chopped up onions with ginger and garlic paste, yogurt, bay leaves, salt and sugar, turmeric and 2 tablespoons of oil. Marinate the cauliflower with the mix and set aside for 2 hours.

Heat ghee and oil in a cooking pan and add whole garam masala. Add marinated cauliflower mix and cover the pan. Do not add any water at this point. Check frequently for cauliflower to be tender. Remove from pan.

Serve with chapati.
