Non-Veg: Doi Mach
Ingredients and Quantity (or Amount)
1. Carp or Rui fish (500 grams)
2. Plain Yogurt (200 grams)
3. Onion (1 medium sized)
4. Cumin paste (1 tablespoon)
5. Ginger / Garlic Paste (3 tablespoons)
6. Turmeric (1 tablespoon)
7. Bay leaves (2 pieces)
8. Green chili (2 pieces)
9. Sugar (1 tablespoon)
10. Salt (1 tablespoon)
11. Whole garam masala (1 tablespoon)
12. Ghee (2 tablespoons)
13. Oil (3 tablespoons)
Method:
Clean the fish. Marinate the fish with yogurt, salt, sugar, turmeric, cumin paste, green chili and 2 tablespoons of oil, for ½ an hour.
Heat the pan, add whole cumin, bay leaves, whole garam masala. Stir and then add chopped onion, ginger and garlic paste. Mix with fish and add ½ cup water and cover the pan with a lid. Cook for 10 minutes, add ghee and add garam masala.
